Shilla Goldwork: Earrings
It is presumed the earrings were only worn by upper-class citizens and were hung by thread from crowns or hats rather than from the ear. The forms evolved over time from thin solid rings to thick hollow ones, and also from small and simple designs to large ones with decorative filigree and granulation.
