Gilt-Bronze Shoes
Gilt-bronze shoes (bronze with a layer of gold on top) were used for burial of Shilla royals. It is known that these shoes would have been inappropriate for wearing in daily life because of extensive decoration on the soles. Leather shoes were worn by Shilla royals in daily life for practicality (and probably comfort!).
